SSI variable weight specialty course
Variable Weight Training is one of the best ways to prepare the mind and body for deeper freedives. This program gives you the skills and knowledge required to safely conduct variable weight dives, reducing oxygen consumption and increasing your ability to dive deeper. You will earn the SSI Variable Weight Training Specialty certification after completing this program.
Who Is It For?
This workshop is for qualified freedivers SSI level 2 or equivalent who want to try variable weight diving to improve equallisation techniques.
Outline
The SSI variable weight specialty course starts with a theory and stretching session, and then we have 2 dives in open water. One of these will be shore based to learn techniques and get comfortable with the set up before we move to a boat dive for the second dive.
Duration
For the SSI variable weight specialty 1 day, theory and stretching followed by two open water dives.
Location
We will start at Porthkerris dive centre for theory and stretching then move on to the shore and boat dives afterwards..

minimum 2 maximum 4 people per instructor
Minium Age
Minimum age 18 years old, prerequisite medical and liability release.
